1. Hallmark Movie Advertisement Tutorial And Project Planning

Now that you've made a scary movie poster, it's time to use those skills to create an advertisement for a Hallmark Movie starring..... a teacher(s).

To create your own Hallmark Movie Advertisement, you'll need to do the following:

  • Decide on a movie title. Check out the slideshow here.

  • If you need help creating a title, use the Hallmark movie generator here.

  • Decide on a teacher(s) that you'd like to be a part of this project. I can take a look and see which teachers are available during your photography class.

  • Decide on a plot line that will help you develop the image you use on your advertisement. You can use the Hallmark movie plot creator here if you don't have any original ideas.

  • Sketch out a rough draft of your poster on a white piece of paper. Make sure it includes original images, a title,  stars, air date, and a Hallmark Logo.

  • Use a holiday font from dafont.com for your ad.

    2. Reflector Practice

Get in groups of three or four and take the following photographs with a subject(s), placing the reflector in these positions. Submit your photographs to schoology under "Reflector Practice." We will discuss the differences you see with each set up. Please make sure you label your photographs appropriately to describe which set up you used while shooting. For example- "undersubjectgold.jpg" or "sidesubjectsilver.jpg

Vocabulary word for today: KEY LIGHT

A "key light" in photography is the primary light source used to illuminate the main subject, essentially defining their shape and features; a reflector can act as a key light by bouncing natural light from the sun onto the subject, effectively becoming the main light source in a scene, especially when positioned to directly reflect light onto the subject's face or body.
